Meet Raejean

Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) serving Iowa through online therapy. I have been providing counseling services for 15 years in-office, 20 years total in homes and communities in Omaha and Marshalltown. After receiving my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa, I graduated from Grace University in Omaha with my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling Licensure and a Minor in Biblical Studies.

I am a Christian and a mother with family roots in Marshalltown, Iowa. I adore animals, music, art, play and basically all types of self expression. I work with all ages, genders, cultures and spiritual beliefs with the goal to balance physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

I believe in client-centered sessions and making you feel safe and comfortable through authentic and genuine relationship building. As a faith-based counselor, I aim to foster a space to incorporate hope and faith in a way that makes sense for you. 

I understand how important it is to connect with your therapist. I hope to hear from you soon to see if we are a good fit for each other.

Statement of Faith

  • I believe in one God as the Creator, existing eternally in one unit of three equally divine Persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man who was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a life free of sin, was crucified, arose from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven. I believe we all need a personal relationship with Jesus in order to gain our salvation into heaven and to follow as a model for a Christian life.

  • I believe that the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord and functions as our guide as believers to convict us when we are wrong and empower us to live like Christ. God provided us with the Holy Spirit as our counselor after Jesus was crucified and ascended to heaven.

  • I believe the Bible is God’s divine word delivered through the words of human authors in entirety with the Old and New Testaments. I believe the Bible is without error and the ultimate authority, infallible, and fully inspired by God. I believe, obey and trust in the promises of these Scriptures.

  • I believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when they were tempted by Satan. We are sinners by nature, separated from God, and only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued and renewed.

  • Jesus is our mediator, our saving grace, he is the only bridge between God and humans. Salvation is provided to all who believe in Jesus Christ, turn away from sin, and commit their life to Him as our Savior.

  • When we believe and accept the Holy Spirit into our hearts and minds we are adopted as heirs in the family of God. The Heavenly Father lights a path for believers for living like Christ and in His service.

  • I believe God guides us through the Holy Spirit to live in His service, devoted to God’s will. We become sanctified by being filled with the Holy Spirit, and asking God to cleanse our heart from all sin. This enables us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

  • I believe the purpose of the church is to encourage and empower the body of local believers to advance God’s work in their own communities and around the world. I believe the church is united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ to learn about God and care for each other.

  • I believe when Jesus Christ returns He will judge humans in righteousness. The unrighteous will be punished eternally to Hell. The righteous, who have accepted Jesus into their hearts and lives on this earth, will live forever with Christ in the new heaven and new earth.

  • I believe God chose to redeem people for Himself and to renew our heart and mind for His glory and purpose. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips, and empowers believers for living and serving like Christ.
